Bumpy Ride

Aastlouistolax There’s only one thing we love more than a lovely story about someone’s travels – and that’s a downright bizarre story about someone’s travels. Everyone’s got one and as you can imagine, the Black Tomato office can lay claim to more than most. So it was not without a small smattering of sympathy (and some hearty laughter naturally) that we read about the plight of one poor traveller – not a Black Tomato-ite rest assured – who flew across America in an aeroplane toilet.

Now why so many unfortunate travelling experiences occur on airlines we can’t imagine. Book a passenger on, give them a seat, a drink or two, and dispatch them at their destination – sounds simple right? Wrong. This unlucky chappie was forced to see out a particularly bumpy period of turbulence fearfully perched on the seat in the teensy cabin toilet because the airline had overbooked the flight and neglected to allocate him a seat. Needless to say he is suing the airline for a hefty $2 million – all the better for him to travel the Black Tomato way in future we reckon.
